Drop #1: Welcome to Heartbreak
The most underrated Kayne album is 808's and Heartbreaks. It doesn't get the credit it deserves in my opinion. The album is a look in to Kayne's life at that moment: his mom had passed after surgery; he was in and out of terrible relationships. It is something that you can relate to, more than any of his other albums. And might I add: THAT BOY WAS PRODUCING!! The seamless flow from the opening song, Say You Will, to the second, Welcome to Heartbreak, and hard hitting songs like Coldest Winter this is nearly a perfectly curated work of art.
I used this album as my inspiration because everyone has experienced a form of heartbreak. Whether it was a bad breakup, experiencing the death of a loved one, or even as something as being denied your dream school, or job we all have levels of bad experiences that put us in depressed states. This heartbreak usually isn't permanent for all, but for others it is harder to break the funk. Personally, I find art and music as the things to break me out of bad moods. But it is not the same for everyone. But what we fail to realize is that we are all more alike than it seems. We all have more similar experiences than we think. This drop is for the ones who have made it out to the other side.
